What a wonderful evening! I caught up with a friend of mine from college. We caught up over an exhibit entitled Puzzles of the Brain: An Artist’s Journey, check out more info here http://thewalters.org/eventscalendar/eventdetails.aspx?e=2205. After exploring this fascinating exhibit, we went down into the museum’s sculpture garden (not technically a garden, more like a sculpture space, still nice) and had hot cider and sugar cookies while listening to a children’s choir. We left there just in time to go around to the park where we saw the monument being lit and the fireworks display after. This is why I love city life; where else can you walk a short block and have all of this at your fingertips. I also couldn’t help but notice local businesses passing out coupons to shop in the area…I would beseech anyone who can to please try to use your local small businesses for your needs during this holiday season…shoot carry it over to all the time if at all possible. I sense myself heading for a tangent, so I’ll sign off and revel in the sweet joy that is this small wedge of a caramel apple  bun and the rest of my Zeke’s (the best coffee in Baltimore in my opinion) coffee. G’night!
